Connors State College has its first signing in program history with Brazilian defender Felipe Pereira. Felipe is just the first of many signings to come in the coming weeks as Coach Skolnick hits the recruiting trails heavily.
When asked about how Felipe feels about the chance to come to Connors here is what he had to say: "I am really excited for this adventure in my life. It is a dream that I have been working on for a long time and I think that it will be the biggest challenge and opportunity of my life as I will need to leave my home country and fight for a spot on the Connors team. It is something that I am both anxious and excited for and I can guarantee that I will give 100% of myself to the program. I would like to thank God for this opportunity and my whole family that gave me the support to be where I am now. Without them this wouldn't be possible, and I will honor them!"
This is what Coach Skolnick had to say about the signing: "Having Felipe will give us a great defender to build our defensive unit with. He plays a high level of soccer in Brazil, and I feel that he will be instrumental in starting this program and making history for Connors. I know he will fit right in and love the experience here!"
