Freshman striker Yaw Frimpong has been named NJCAA National Player of the Week following his performances against regional rivals Rich Mountain and Rose State College.  In the 3-2 win against Rich Mountain, Frimpong had a hat trick (3 goals) to lead the Cowboys to their first win the program history.  In the game Frimpong had a total of 6 shots, 5 of those being on frame, with 3 hitting the back of the net.  Frimpong continued his form 2 days later against Rose State scoring his 4th goal in 2 games, for a total of 6 goals on the season.  The goal came just 26 seconds into the game from a lovely ball played by fullback David Manresa.

"This is not just my achievement but an award for the entire team. This award belongs to us all." -Yaw Frimpong

"I am very proud to have Frimpong get named National POTW.  The season started off slow, but as we hit the second half of the year things are speeding up quickly and the lads are finding some great form.  It feels good to see us turning some heads all across the country and getting the recognition for the hard work that the group has put in the past couple of months." -Head Coach Adam Skolnick
