Cowgirls picked Sixth in Coaches Polls

The Connors State College Cowgirls Womens basketball team has been picked to finish sixth in the Oklahoma Collegiate Athletic Conference in the 2024-25 OCAC Women's Basketball Coaches Preseason Poll, announced by the league on Monday. 

The Cowgirls won the Regular Season Championship last year with a 14-2 Conference Record. Connors would also go on to win the NJCAA Region 2 Tournament Championship and make an appareance to the 2024 NJCAA National Tournament. Cowirgirls are experiencing alot of new changes in the 2024-25 season with new Head Coach Jaylen Thompson. The Cowgirls have no returning starters off last year team but will look for sophomore guard Jurnee Williams and Addyson Gream to lead the way. 

The preseason favorite to win the OCAC in 2024-2025 is Northeastern Oklahoma A&M, Murray State College was picked to finish second in the polls. Region 2 will welcome new coaches as Northern Oklahoma picked eigth and Eastern Oklahoma who is picked ninth will also have a new head coach leading their programs. To round out the 2024 pre-season polls , Seminole state was picked third, Northern Oklahoma Tonkawa picked forth and redlands fifth. Behind our Cowgirls, Western Oklahoma was picked seventh.
