
East Memphis, AR. – Connors women's basketball get there first win of the season after an 0-2 start. The Cowgirls traveled to Mid South CC to take on the Lady Greyhounds in a 7PM contest. The Cowgirls came away with a 79-51 victory. Cowgirls jumped out to an early first quarter lead 25-10 and never looked back. Every player who played scored as the Cowgirls win BIG!!
This is the start to Coach Jaylen Thompson era as the Connors State Women Head Coach. Thompson thoughts on the first win, " It was definitely nice to get a win on the road. I felt confident in our team going into this matchup. We had a good week at practice and the team took care of business. I am excited to lead Connors. Kiaya Davis led the way for the Cowgirls with 24 points. She went 8-13 from the field and 6-12 from the line. Kiaya knocked down two 3 point shots including one at the buzzer to send the Cowgirls into the 4th Quarter.
Allie Anderson added 12 points and 6 steals. The Freshman showed great instict on the defensive, turning her defense into offense
Addyson Gream added 12 points / 8 REBS. The 6'2 post continues to improve her game each game. Addy is currently averaging 10 Points through 3 games
Harlie Chesser, newly added player came and made an immediate impact for the Cowgirls adding 10 points off the bench.
