Warner- The Connors State Cowboys had little trouble with visiting Mid-America Christian University Evangels on Thursday Night inside Melvin Self field-House. The cowboys came away with a 96-43 victory improving their record to 4-0 on the year. 

The cowboys held a commanding 45-23 lead at the Half and expanded their lead early in the second half. The cowboys controlled the game from start to finish by opening the game on a 10 to 0 run in the first 3 minutes of the game. The evangels would then make a run of their own to cut the Cowboy lead to 5, but Connors answered right back witha run of their own.

The Cowboys had 4 players score in double figures on the night. Leading the scoring attack for the Cowboys was Sophomore Guard Jaylen Lee who poured in 18 points. Following Edwin Daniel with 13. Ethan Dietz scoring 12 points and grabbing 6 rebounds. DJ Dormu had 11 points. Jeremiah Johnson poured in 9 for the Cowboys. Murray State Transfer Dayvantia Campbell added 8 points on the Night. 

The cowboys shot 55 percent from the field, and 25 percet from the 3 point line in the victory.

Connors out rebounded the Evangels by 32 on the night with the final rebound numbers being 56-24.

Connors will now turn its attention to Dallas College- Cedar Valley on Monday in Lancaster, Texas. Tip-Off is set for 6:00pm
